Death Of Film? Again?

The death of film?

I shot 4 rolls of film with my SLR and took 100 pictures with my digital camera on vacation. I think my SLR is safe for some time, but digicams make point-and-shoot cameras obsolete. With a digicam, I have no film worries, I can review the pictures immediately, and I can upload pictures to a web site or to email to people. The only thing stopping me from completely moving to digital is the control I get with an SLR, and the depth of field control I have with a film SLR. The new 11 megapixel Canon has a full-size image sensor, which means that DOF is identical to DOF on a film camera.

The first shots from my trip are up here.
