Shooting again in SF

Finally! New photos in the photos section. Sorry, I don’t have any way of highlighting the new ones, but please go take a look anyway.

The rain finally broke, and I went off today with my AE-1 Program and Lomo Smena-35. I took a trip around San Francisco, started at South Park in SOMA – my home away from home back in 1995-1999. The area feels like a ghost town now – the energy that was there during the dot-com boom is gone. The Bohemian-artsy influence seems to be coming out from hiding, and the park looks MUCH better for the whole experience, as anyone who remembers South Park (or anything south of Market) from the mid-80′s can attest.

I bought along 2 rolls of Portra 160 VC pro film, a roll of Fuji Superia 400, and roll of Lucky Supercolor 100 – amazing bizarre cheap Chinese film with vivid colors and great saturation. No two rolls develop the same. The Lucky came out quite sharp, with good tones. The Portra 160VC was amazing – the smallest grain and most amazing colors I’ve seen with print film to date!
