My son has taken to waking up crying twice a night. My wife or I go into his room and he’s standing in his crib, and looks like he can’t get back down without falling on his butt!
I pick him up, rock him and he goes back to sleep in 2-3 minutes. I think he’s [...]

Work has been hectic. I’m in the process of purchasing a phone system and provisioning cabling for an office space that should have been started 2 months ago. The only problem is, they hired me 2 weeks ago!
I’m sure glad tomorrow is MASSAGE DAY at work!

Stay where I stay!

If you’re ever in San Diego, I can heartily recommend the Hampton inn near the Arena.
Everyone in my office played up the Hilton in San Diego; unfortunately, they were booked. I am curious, though, when the booking agent read off the description of the hotel, she mentioned the “renowned” complimentary continental breakfast. Tiny pastries, [...]

Once a phone guy…

“cyberspace is where you are when youre on the telephone”
–john perry barlow
I started my career out running phone systems. I moved into LANs, then internet
technologies, and finally IT operations management, network security and network architecture.
This week, I’m back to doing phones again, this time for a network of 3 sites with voice over IP, [...]
