Too many blogs..
I’ve decided to can my <a href=http://weightloss.kataan.org>weight loss blog</a> and use my LJ account for updates and accountability. You guys will kick me in the ass if I start slipping, right?
Week 1 has been pretty easy so far; I’ve been way stressed out, but stopped myself from getting something sweet as a release/reward. Just getting back into the swing of things - drinking 8 glasses of water and having a mid-meal piece of fruit to keep my simple sugars up is making a huge difference in my urges and my food choices.
I make a choice in the morning what I’m going to get for lunch, and it works - otherwise, I’ll be too easily tempted by a burger, fish and chips, etc. We have a couple of salad bars around, and I figure if I’m going to go out for lunch, I’m not going to buy something I could make at home.
I’ve been walking a LOT, too. Our old office and new office are .62 miles apart, so I’m walking 4-6km/day.
I just ran 3.14 miles in 35:05, I’m slowly getting back into the running thing. I lament about being able to do the same run in 29:40 a year ago, but can’t fixate on it. With work, home, and other responsibilities I ended up missing out on the best months to run. Here’s to looking forward to summer 2005!
