Black and white

This week’s photo assignment is black and white - going back to the basics of light and shadow. I loaded a roll of Kodak B&W 400 in my Canon FTb and attached a 28/f2.8 lens. This will be a nice change-up from shooting color film with a 50mm prime lens.

One thing that always annoyed me about my cheap 28mm wide angle lens was the fact that (a) 28mm is a little wider than I like, and (b) the ring is chrome, which I always thought didn’t make sense on a device meant to minimize reflections. I touched up the ring with flat back paint, and shopped on the web for a Canon 35/f2.8 lens for Father’s day.
