I just went to an ftp site to download a file using a command line client. I was asked for a username, I entered anonymous. It allowed anonymous access, asked for an email address as password. Without thinking, I automatically typed in pfortran@crl.com.

I think I closed that account in 1995! Back then, I was dialing in on a 386SX running Windows 3.1 at 14.4, using one of those dialup SLIP emulators (I think it was SLIPPR) to browse the occasional web site (there were a couple back then) with Mosaic.
