Man, it’s been a while…

Work is busy, so I haven’t been doing much photography. I logged in to Wordpress and found dozens of comment SPAMs. What a despicable, crappy, move - I can’t believe anyone would read comment spam, click through and purchase anything! There’s now a cool arithmetic challenge/response system in place. If that doesn’t work I’ll add a captcha script.

I’ve gotten sucked back into BBSing, which has taken all of my free online time. Blogging always felt a bit like a soapbox, but with BBSing it’s much more community-based.

realitycheckBBS now has a radio station, IRC-based chat, web, FTP, gopher and telnet access, RSS feeds and NNTP/POP3 access. I’ve been having a lot of fun checking the BBS mail and news with Outlook Express like any other news server - it feels completely different from the way BBSes used to feel.
